Is Duora only for dating?

No. You pick your intent: something romantic, friends, or a duo partner. Many people pick more than one, and the matching respects it: someone looking for a duo will not end up in front of someone looking for a relationship.

Do I have to pay to talk to someone?

Can I share my Instagram or Discord?

Yes, once the conversation has a few messages in it. Before that, links and numbers stay hidden, but the message still arrives and only the contact is masked.

Why is there no swipe?

Because half a second only tells you about a face, and throws away everything else: the rank, the games, the hours you are online. Those are the things that say whether two people will get on, and it seemed a shame to ignore them.
