Terms of service
These are the rules of Duora. You accept them when you join, so they are worth reading: they are short and written to be understood.
What Duora is
Duora introduces you to people through the games you play and the anime you watch. You can be after something romantic, friends, or a duo partner, and that is your call. Joining and talking are free. Duora Plus adds better ways to find people, never the right to message someone.
Who can join
You must be 18 or older, and one account per person. If we find that you gave a false age we close the account without notice. If we have already removed you, you cannot come back under another address.
Your account
What you put on your profile has to be about you, and your photos have to be of you. Your password is your responsibility: if you think someone else knows it, change it and tell us. You cannot sell, lend, or hand over your account.
How people behave here
No harassment, no threats, no abuse about who someone is or where they come from. No explicit sexual content, no violence, no drugs, no weapons. No scams, no asking for money, no advertising, and no pulling people onto other platforms to sell them something. Do not use Duora to harvest data about other members, and do not try to get into places you should not.
What you post
What you write and the photos you upload stay yours. You give us permission to show them inside Duora to the people you are showing them to, and nothing more: we do not sell them, we do not hand them to advertisers, and we do not use them to advertise Duora anywhere else. Delete a photo or your account and they are gone.
When something goes wrong
Every photo is checked for safety before it appears: that check is there to stop explicit content, not to verify who you are. You can report a message or a person at any time. If a rule is broken we can hide content, suspend an account, or close it, depending on how serious it is. You can ask us to look again by writing to info@duora.gg: a person answers, not an automated system.
Duora Plus
Plus is a subscription that renews on its own until you cancel, and you can cancel whenever you like from the "Manage subscription" button: it stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing else is charged. Payment goes through Stripe: we never see your card number. Prices include VAT, and the price you pay when you subscribe stays yours until you cancel, even if we raise it later. Plus starts the moment you pay: at checkout we ask you to confirm that, and with that confirmation you give up the fourteen day cooling-off period for distance purchases. A one-off refresh of Today, when you buy it separately, is a single payment and not a subscription: it does not renew.
Leaving
You can delete your account whenever you want from your profile settings. With the account go your profile, your photos, and the messages you wrote, including from the other person’s chat. We can close yours if you break these rules or if the law requires it. If we shut Duora down we will tell you at least thirty days ahead and you can take your data with you.
What we cannot promise
Duora introduces you to people, but we do not know them and we do not verify anyone’s identity. The check on photos stops explicit content, it does not confirm the photo is of you. The care you take when you decide to meet someone is still yours to take. We do our best to keep the service running, without being able to promise it will never stop.
Law and disputes
Italian law applies. If you are a consumer you can go to the court where you live, and that stays true whatever the rest of these lines say. Before it gets there, though, write to us: almost everything is settled with an email.
If we change these rules
It can happen. If the change matters we will email you at least thirty days beforehand, and if you are not happy with it you can close your account at no cost.
